Lorenzo Musetti's girlfriend, Veronica Confalonieri, recently shared an adorable update of her son, waiting for his father's kiss. The Italian player is currently competing at the Vienna Open, which commenced on 21 October and will conclude on 27 October 2024.

Musetti recently advanced to the semifinals of the tournament after defeating Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinal round at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna with a score of 2-6, 7(7)-6(5), 6-4. He will now compete against Jack Draper in the semifinals, which is slated for 26 October 2024.

The 22-year-old bested Lorenzo Sonego, Gael Monfils, and Zverev to advance to the quarterfinals. Amidst this showdown, his family is with him in Vienna, and his girlfriend has shared a cute video with their son, Ludovico, on her Instagram story. She was seen tickling her son, as the toddler laughed out loud adorably. She also added a cute note written in Italian for Musetti:

Lorenzo Musetti opened up about his win against Alexander Zverev at the Vienna Open

Lorenzo Musetti proved his prospect as a formidable player in the quarterfinal showdown against Alexander Zverev on 25 October 2024. In the post-match interview, Musetti reflected on his victory and revealed that the match did not start as he expected, however, he found his right balance. He said that this match meant a lot to him, as quoted by mykhel.co:

"It didn’t start how we planned, I was struggling to find the right balance with my forehand and the variation of my backhand,” said Musetti. "But I stayed there, even when he came back in the second, I saved a lot of break points at 5-5. It’s definitely a match that means a lot to me."

Lorenzo further added that it was a big win for him:

"It’s a pretty big win in my career, because Sascha really loves to play here, on this court, in these conditions. But, after the first round, I was feeling in good shape and today I showed that."

Ahead of the Vienna Open, Lorenzo Musetti unfortunately faced an early loss at the Shanghai Masters after losing to David Goffin in the first round with a score of 1-6. 7(8)-6(6), 6-2. The Italian also competed in the US Open, where he reached the third round and couldn't advance further after being defeated by Brandon Nakashima.
