Maria Sharapova opens up about how she manages to stay fit, whether she will go back to being blonde, her food preferences, and more
Retired Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova, who is extremely active on social media, recently answered a few questions from her fans, ranging from her food preferences to fashion choices.
Sharapova was present at the Moncler Genius show on Monday, February 20, as she is on the board of the Italian luxury fashion house. She took to her Instagram stories after the event, letting fans know she was up for answering a few questions.
The five-time Grand Slam champion posted a story with a burger in the background and added a 'questions' pop-up to her story. Soon after that, she dished out funny and ironic answers in response to the fans.
When asked if she puts mustard on her burger, Sharapova said she does not and that she prefers only mayo and ketchup.
"No mustard on the burger, just mayo and ketchup, just," she said.
She was also asked about her favorite designer, to which she replied with the shoe designer she wore for the Moncler event.
"Here it is, its GINA, aren’t these marvellous," she said.
When asked about her fitness regime, the 35-year-old ironically listed the food she had at the event and how that is not the way to stay in shape. The Russian was also asked when she would post workout videos.
"How can you stay fit? Not by eating the schnitzel and the burger and the fries and possibly a cocktail, that’s not how you do it," she said.
"When will you post workout stuff? Maybe when I actually work out and tape myself," she added.
Maria Sharapova was also asked if she would ever go blonde again. She seemingly left that decision to the fans, and created a poll on her story. Almost 70% of the voters expressed that they wanted the Russian to go back to being blonde.
With regards to her food preferences, the 2004 Wimbledon champion professed her love for pickles. She also answered whether she likes pineapple on her burger.
"Yeah pickles, pickles with fries, pickles with a burger, pickles with schnitzel, pickles galore," she stated.
"Pineapple on burger? That is a random question, definitely not pineapples on a pizza. But if I have to choose pineapples or burger, I think I would say burger. Pineapple is a great snack but its full of sugar," she said.
