Maria Sharapova's fiance Alexander Gilkes recently shared a sneak peek into his luxurious experience in New York City. The British businessman reveled in the splendid views of the iconic city from the 100th floor of a skyscraper.
Alexander Gilkes and Maria Sharapova began dating in 2018 and got engaged in December 2020. In July 2022, the couple became parents as the former World No. 1 gave birth to son Theodore. Gilkes, the co-founder of Squared Circles, a venture capital firm, frequently travels around the world for business purposes, and his latest stop was none other than New York City.
During Maria Sharapova's husband Alexander Gilkes' recent stay in The Big Apple, the businessman spent time in one of the city's 318 skyscrapers. Gilkes later took to Instagram Stories and via two posts (now-disappeared), shared glimpses of some stunning views of New York City from dizzying heights of the 100th floor. He captioned one of the posts:

Thanksgiving 2024 turned out to be a peaceful and tranquil one for Maria Sharapova and Alexander Gilkes. The engaged couple chose to spend the day hiking and also took son Theodore on the trail with them. Later, the five-time Major winner shared a glimpse of the scenic hiking experience on Instagram and also laid bare her thoughts on spending a peaceful Thanksgiving.
"I forgot how peaceful this holiday is in the US. No emails. No zooms. No kids gymnastics classes. No invoices," Sharapova wrote in an Instagram Story (now-disappeared).
Sharapova continues to be a prominent figure within and beyond tennis, despite having retired from the sport in 2020. The Russian's breakthrough came in 2003, and she went on to stun Serena Williams in the final of the 2004 Wimbledon Championships. In 2005, Sharapova became the World No. 1, and she went on to achieve the career Grand Slam, becoming one of ten women to have done it.
While the Russian's career was rocked by a doping suspension in 2016, she returned to action in 2017. Sharapova is widely regarded as one of the greatest women's tennis competitors of her generation. Off the court, the Russian became a fashion icon and also established herself as a successful entrepreneur.
