Martina Navratilova drops 4-word reaction to $244 billion-worth Jeff Bezos' Amazon donating $1 million for Donald Trump presidential inauguration

Martina Navratilova has delivered her reaction to reports of Jeff Bezos' Amazon planning to donate $1 million for President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration. The confirmation of Amazon's plan comes shortly after Mark Zuckerberg's Meta's million-dollar donation for the event, which will mark the start of Trump's second-term as US President.

On Friday, December 13, CNN anchor Kaitlin Collins took to X (formerly Twitter) and revealed that the Jeff Bezos-owned E-commerce juggernaut would be donating $1 million for the inauguration of Donald Trump, which will see the President-elect take the presidential oath of office. According to Collins, a person familiar to CNN had shared the information with the news media giant.

"Amazon is planning to donate $1 million to President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, a person familiar tells CNN, confirming WSJ. That news comes after Meta also donated $1 million to the inauguration fund," Collins wrote.

Martina Navratilova, a former World No. 1 and 18-time Grand Slam champion, reacted to the development with a four-word verdict, writing:

"We are so screwed."

However, Navratilova's take on Trump's inauguration receiving donations from Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos, whose individual net worths are estimated at $220 billion and $240 billion respectively (via Celebrity Net Worth), baffled several X users.

"In what way?" asked one user.
"What does this even mean? Grow up, Martina!" another chimed in.

Navratilova is yet to respond to the users' questions.

The Czech-American is vehemently opposed to Donald Trump and the Republican party. In the aftermath of the confirmation of the former President's return to the White House, Navratilova took a swipe at Elon Musk over the billionaire's takeover and rebranding of Twitter.

Bestselling author Craig Unger, a critic of the US Republicans, expressed his dismay in November this year over the diminishing views and engagement on his posts on X. Unger suggested that the Elon Musk-owned platform had shadow-banned him.

"Shadow-banning anyone? It's interesting how I have--or used have-over 50K followers- and when I did a good tweet I could get 750K page views, but now I get only 520 page views when I retweet. What's Elon afraid of?" Unger wrote.

Upon taking notice of Unger's post, Martina Navratilova reshared it and penned a caption of her own, which was a dig at Musk.

"Elon has rigged the system in a big way. Buying twitter was his best investment ever," Navratilova wrote.

More recently, Navratilova criticized Musk over a recurring glitch on X.
