Martina Navratilova reacts to predictions of Kamala Harris winning 3 key states in the US Presidential election
Martina Navratilova recently reacted to the prediction of Kamala Harris winning three key states in the U.S. presidential election. The prediction was made by former Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele on Sunday, 22 September.
Navratilova has frequently supported Kamala Harris and criticized Donald Trump during the United States presidential elections. The 18-time Major champion, while criticizing Leeds University's inclusive language guidelines a few weeks ago, stated that things would be better in the United States under the Democratic nominee.
Navratilova also supported renowned Hollywood celebrity Barbra Streisand in backing Taylor Swift's endorsement of Kamala Harris.
With only a few days until the results, Steele predicted that Harris would prevail in three key states: Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia. However, no Democrat has won in either state following President Barack Obama's victories in Florida in 2012 and both Florida and North Carolina in 2008.

Martina Navratilova expressed her hope for a positive outcome for Kamala Harris by reacting to the news with fingers crossed emojis.
In addition to her political views, Navratilova has been a strong advocate for women's sports and has criticized the inclusion of trans athletes in that category.
"Failing as a human being": Martina Navratilova on Megyn Kelly criticizing Kamala Harris & Oprah Winfrey's event
Renowned journalist Megyn Kelly condemned Oprah Winfrey for hosting Kamala Harris at the 'Unite for America' livestream event in Michigan. Moreover, other renowned celebrities such as Chris Rock and Jennifer Lopez were also in attendance to endorse the Democratic candidate.
Kelly, a frequent critic of Harris, took to X to argue that the lineup of wealthy Hollywood celebrities endorsing Kamala Harris won't understand the "sufferings" of the working class.
"Amazed they think this Oprah thing is going to appeal to Indep’s. A bunch of super rich Hollywood celebs endorsing Harris - absolutely none of whom understands anything about the working class’s suffering. Emc’d by one of the richest women on earth whose act has grown very stale," she wrote.
Navratilova later reacted to Kelly's statement, asserting that the latter was failing as a human being and accusing her of jealousy.
"What a sad person you have become. A very rich failure. Kind of an oxymoron… Maybe the white blond version of DEI? And now failing as a human being. Jealousy is so unbecoming," Navratilova said.
The results of the 2024 US elections will be announced on Tuesday, 5 November.
