Martina Navratilova's wife Julia Lemigova looks back fondly on her wedding day with the tennis icon, calls it "one of my happiest days"
Former Russian model Julia Lemigova recently walked down memory lane as she looked back fondly on her wedding day with former World No. 1 Martina Navratilova.
Lemigova won the Miss USSR title in 1990 after the original winner was disqualified. The following year, she finished third while representing the Soviet Union at the Miss Universe 1991 beauty pageant.
Lemigova and Navratilova tied the knot on December 15, 2014. Navratilova proposed to her girlfriend in 2014 during the US Open. On March 29, Lemigova posted a picture of herself dressed in a white dress from her wedding night on social media.
Lemigova captioned her post with a quote from French fashion designer Christian Dior, as she reminisced about her wedding day with Martina Navratilova.
"Happiness is the secret to all beauty. There is no beauty that is attractive without happiness." – Christian Dior. Looking back to one of my happiest days, the day Martina and I got married can’t believe it was almost 9 years ago," Julia Lemigova added.
