Victoria Azarenka recently delighted fans with a relatable and humorous glimpse into her life off the tennis court. Azarenka shared a playful anecdote about the challenges of getting her seven-year-old son, Leo, ready for school on Monday mornings.

Azarenka’s 2024 season concluded on a bittersweet note. Her last appearance of the season came at the Guadalajara Open in Mexico, where she was forced to retire mid-match against Kamilla Rakhimova in the second round, due to a right shoulder injury.

In the off-season, Azarenka is taking the time to recover and enjoy quality moments with Leo, providing her followers a glimpse into their everyday lives.

On December 2, 2024, Azarenka turned to social media to share her relatable Monday morning ordeal. Posting on X (formerly Twitter), she humorously described the struggle of getting her son ready for school at the start of the week.

"Monday morning is just a mental grind," Azarenka wrote.

Azarenka followed up with a post on her Instagram story, offering fans a peek into the chaotic yet endearing morning scene. The 35-year-old shared a picture of Leo showcasing his school outfit with an added flair---oversized goggles that gave him a stylishly quirky look.

"Too 😎 for 🏫.....still going to 🏫," she wrote.

At the 2024 Brisbane Open, Victoria Azarenka humorously admitted in a post-match interview that she has a "mom brain," joking that she barely remembers the player she was before motherhood.

Reflecting on her first career WTA title won at this event 15 years ago, Azarenka confessed that her memories from before her son's birth are quite hazy.

"I have a mom’s brain. Since my son was born, anything before that I don’t remember much… I think a lot of moms can relate to that," Azarenka exclaimed.

Victoria Azarenka recently shared a relatable moment from her parenting journey, mentioning that her son amusingly refused to hug her in front of his ice hockey teammates due to embarrassment. Leo, who joined the Florida Kings ice hockey team in May this year, was participating in a tournament that Azarenka attended.

Azarenka took to X to share her experience of Leo's playful refusal to hug her at the event.

"My son Leo doesn’t want to give me hugs in front of his teammates I’m at his hockey tournament at he’s like not here mom is that relatable? Or …."

Victoria Azarenka welcomed her son Leo in December 2016 with then-partner Billy McKeague. After their 2017 split, the couple got involved in a custody battle. The Belarusian tennis star ultimately gained custody of Leo in January 2018 after a prolonged legal fight which caused her to miss several tournaments, including the 2017 U.S. Open.
