Merida Open 2023: Where to watch, TV schedule, live streaming details and more

Mexico is set to host a brand new tournament as the Merida Open is set to make its debut this week. The WTA 250 event will be held from February 20-26, 2023.

Magda Linette headlines the draw as the top seed. She started the season on a strong note at the United Cup, winning three of her singles matches before losing to Madison Keys in the semifinals.

Following an early exit from the Hobart International, Linette reached her maiden Grand Slam semifinal at the Australian Open.

Meanwhile, second seed Sloane Stephens is yet to win a match this year. The American has usually performed quite well in Mexico, winning a couple of titles here in the past. She'll be eager to finally notch up her first win of the season at the Merida Open.

Zhu Lin is the seeded third in the tournament. The Chinese player recently clinched her maiden career title in singles at the Hua Hin Championships.

Katerina Siniakova is seeded fourth and will be aiming to win her first singles title of the year.

Alycia Parks grabbed her first singles title in style a few weeks ago. The 22-year-old defeated World No. 5 Caroline Garcia to win the Lyon Open and will be looking to make an impact here as well.

Alison Riske-Amritraj, Camila Giorgi, Caty McNally and 2022 Wimbledon semifinalist Tatjana Maria are some of the other well-known names in the fray this week.

Players love the vibe in Mexico and the country has quickly made a name for itself as an excellent host. The inaugural edition of the Merida Open is shaping up to be a fun event.
