Miami Open prize money breakdown: How much did 2023 champion Daniil Medvedev and runner-up Jannik Sinner earn?
The 2023 Miami Open men's singles final took place on Sunday. Fourth seed Daniil Medvedev beat 10th seed Jannik Sinner 7-5, 6-3 to lift the Masters 1000 trophy and take home a paycheque of just over $1.2 million.
Continuing his terrific run of form, Medvedev put in a fine performance against Sinner to win his fourth title of the season and fifth Masters 1000 title overall.
The overall prize money pool for the Miami Open was $8,800,000 for the men's and women's tournaments each. ATP champion Daniil Medvedev will earn $1,262,220 while runner-up Jannik Sinner will get paid $662,360.
The two losing semifinalists - 2022 champion Carlos Alcaraz and Karen Khachanov - will each pocket $352,635, while the four losing quarterfinalists - Taylor Fritz, Christopher Eubanks, Emil Ruusuvuori and Francisco Cerundolo - will each walk away with $184,465.
The players who were eliminated in the fourth round of the Miami Open will each get paid $96,955, while those who were out in the third round will earn $55,570 each.
Players who were ousted in the second round of the tournament will each pocket $30,885, while those who got out in the opening round will be paid $18,660 each. The qualifiers will also receive some amount, with the players who made it to the second qualifying round receiving $9,440 and the ones who lost in the first qualifying round earning $5,150.
Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Santiago Gonzalez won the men's doubles tournament at Miami Open 2023
The men's doubles title in Miami, meanwhile, was pocketed by the unseeded French-Mexican pair of Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Santiago Gonzalez, who beat Austin Krajicek and Nicolas Mahut 7-6(4), 7-5 in the final.
The pair of Roger-Vasselin and Gonzalez will be paid $436,730 for winning the Miami Open while the runner-up team of Krajicek and Mahut will earn $231,660. The two pairs who were out in the semifinals - Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow, and Kevin Krawietz and Fabrice Martin - will each pocket $123,550.
The teams who were eliminated in the quarterfinals - Neal Skupski and Wesley Koolhof, Lloyd Glasspool and Harri Heliovaara, Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni, and Tommy Paul and Ben Shelton - will each receive a prize money of $62,360.
The pairs who were eliminated in the Round of 16 will each earn $33,460, while those who were out in the opening round will be paid $18,020 each.
