Naomi Osaka proudly embraces her 'Libra' traits after Danielle Collins urges more conversation around players' star signs
Naomi Osaka opened up about her zodiac traits just a day after Danielle Collins' opinion about star signs. The Japanese player concluded her 2024 season after competing at the China Open.
Lately, there have been more conversations about how tennis players' star signs influence their personalities. Danielle Collins started this by embracing her traits as a Sagittarius. She reshared a clip of astrologist Lars Mellis, who analyzed Collins' nature on the court and said that she has a lot of passion and fire while playing.
This clip was reshared by Collins on social media, where she expressed her love for having the discussion about players' zodiac signs. She said on her Instagram story:
"I am here for this discussion. If we aren't talking about players star signs what are we talking about. Love ❤️🤣👏 #sagitarrius," Collins wrote.
Just a day after this, on December 11, Naomi Osaka also shared her Libra traits on her Instagram, highlighting the comparison of the behavior of people with Libra as their Zodiac sign when they are around people and when they are around those people they're comfortable with. Here is the story:
Osaka's 2024 season did not pan out as expected, as she had to cut her year short after her injury at the China Open. Following this, she had to withdraw from various tournaments such as the Japan Open, the Billie Jean King Cup, and others.
Naomi Osaka competed in tournaments like the US Open, the Italian Open, the French Open, and several others; however, she faced the same fate of early exits in each of them.
Naomi Osaka opened up about withdrawing from the Billie Jean King Cup Finals
Naomi Osaka recently sat in an interview with Olympics.com, where she spoke about her injuries and her decision to end the season early. She said that stepping out from the Billie Jean King Cup Finals was a tough decision for her.
"I've played so many tournaments this year, so it was definitely the toughest decision to not play this and obviously not play BJK. I really honestly enjoyed it so much, and I think it helped with my development as a player," Osaka said.
Osaka was last seen on the court during the China Open, where she reached the fourth round but couldn't advance further than this. She bested Lucia Bronzetti, Yulia Putintseva, and Katie Volynets to reach the fourth round. However, she had to walk over in her match against Coco Gauff, citing a back injury, and the American won the round with a score of 3-6, 6-4.
