Naomi Osaka's boyfriend Cordae reacts to her latest photoshoot on a surfboard during Cayman Islands vacation
On Sunday, November 24, Naomi Osaka's boyfriend Cordae reacted to the Japanese tennis star's latest photoshoot. The photoshoot took place during Osaka's recent vacation in the Cayman Islands in the western Caribbean Sea.
Osaka and Cordae made their romantic relationship public in 2019. Their first date happened at a Los Angeles Clippers game. In January 2023, shortly before that year's Australian Open, Osaka announced that she and the American rapper were expecting a child. They became parents to their daughter, Shai, in July 2023.
Recently, Naomi Osaka headed to the scenic Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the western Caribbean Sea for a vacation. The islands, comprising the Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman Islands, are home to exotic wildlife, beach resorts, and diverse water sports activities.
On Sunday, November 24, Osaka took to Instagram to share pictures from a photo shoot that took place there. The pictures featured the four-time Major winner striking a variety of poses on a surfboard, wearing a short pink dress. Osaka paired the dress with heeled pink shoes and accessorized the look with a cute Louis Vuitton handbag. The Japanese captioned the Instagram post:
"Aesthetic"
The former World No. 1's boyfriend Cordae later commented on the post. Cordae's comment featured seven wave emojis.
Cordae recently expressed his indifference about the first-week sales figures of his new album. The rapper's words came a day after Osaka had done her bit to promote the album.
Naomi Osaka's boyfriend Cordae spoke his mind about his new album's sales
'The Crossroads', Cordae's third album, dropped on November 15. Ahead of its release, the rapper minced no words as he dismissed the importance of first-week album sales figures in today's times, citing the radical way people's music-listening habits have changed through streaming. The 27-year-old aired his take on the subject shortly following his girlfriend Osaka promoting the then-upcoming album.
"Want to say this now I don't give a f**k about a first week sales. It’s a very inaccurate way to calculate impact, especially with the current streaming metrics. I seen somebody do 11K first week and then do a ARENA TOUR off the same album. Ni**as said my last project first week numbers wasn't good and I ended up doing a sold out headline tour," Cordae wrote on his Instagram Stories.
On the tennis front, Cordae's partner Naomi Osaka's 2024 season was cut short by an injury she sustained during her fourth-round encounter against Coco Gauff at the China Open. The former World No. 1 and four-time Grand Slam champion finished the season as the World No. 60.
