"Needs anger management, what the hell" - Serena Williams' ex-coach furious after ULM assistant coach tries to attack one of his football players
Serena Williams' ex-coach was surprised by the University of Louisiana at Monroe's assistant football coach Cameron Blankenship having an animated meltdown at one of the players. Stubbs claimed Blankenship needed anger management help.
The Louisiana Monroe Warhawks fell short in a close 28-23 game against Marshall Thundering Herd Football in Week 10 of the 2024 college football season. Despite the game’s result, much of the focus has shifted to the ULM assistant coach.
A video circulating on social media captured Blankenship in a heated sideline incident involving sophomore offensive lineman Drew Hutchinson. The assistant coach, visibly frustrated, chased Hutchinson off the field and forcefully shoved him in the chest. Teammates quickly stepped in to separate the two.
Former doubles World No. 1, Stubbs, noted the video on X and reshared it writing:
"This coach needs some anger management courses. WTH buddy."
Following this altercation, the ULS issued a statement indicating that disciplinary measures would be imposed on Blankenship.
"In Saturday's game against Marshall, Assistant Coach Cameron Blankenship made physical contact with a ULM student-athlete on the sideline."
"This behavior is unacceptable and not how ULM football conducts businesss. There will be disciplinary action taken against the assistant coach. Because this is a personal matter, the discipline will be handled internally."
Serena Williams' ex-coach Rennae Stubbs condemns disturbing Donald Trump-themed Halloween costumes worn by children
Rennae Stubbs, former coach to Serena Williams and Eugenie Bouchard among others, expressed shock and dismay over certain Halloween costumes worn by children.
This year, amid the election fever, Halloween brought out creative costumes, with kids dressed as political figures like Republican candidate Donald Trump or Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. However, certain Trump-themed costumes caught Stubbs’ eye.
In one instance, a child dressed as a shooter appeared to reference Trump's attempted assassination during his Pennsylvania rally in July.
"Can u imagine!!! This is being taught to them by the adults that are raising them. Disgraceful," she tweeted.
Another costume set showed a young girl and a Black child chained to another child dressed as Trump, which deeply disturbed Stubbs. She questioned the messages being passed down to these children.
"And this!! Like what are we teaching? The adults raising them are beyond help but these kids aren’t. This is disgraceful and if you’re ok with this, you’re a terrible terrible human," Stubbs wrote.
The Aussie has repeatedly condemned Trump. Early voting is underway in the USA, and the Presidential Elections are set for November 5.
