NFL superstar Tom Brady accurately predicting Novak Djokovic to win gold medal at Paris Olympics against Carlos Alcaraz comes to light
Recently, a clip featuring NFL legend Tom Brady surfaced, in which he predicted the outcome of Novak Djokovic's gold medal match against Carlos Alcaraz at the Paris Olympics. The video, notably shot before the final, shows Brady rooting for the Serb.
Djokovic had a title-less season before his campaign at the quadrennial event in Paris. The 37-year-old defeated the likes of Matthew Ebden, Rafael Nadal, Dominik Koepfer, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Lorenzo Musetti en route to his maiden Olympic gold medal match.
The Serb then faced Carlos Alcaraz, who had defeated him in straight sets just weeks earlier at Wimbledon. The setback, however, didn't shake Djokovic's confidence as he started strong, winning the closely contested first set 7-6 (7) against the Spaniard. The scoreline followed a similar trajectory in the second set, with Djokovic winning 7-6 (7), securing his first Olympic gold medal.
Seven-time Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady was also present at the Court Philippe Chatrier, to witness Djokovic's triumph. Before the match, Brady predicted a grueling contest that would go to a third set, with both players exchanging breaks of serve.
The 47-year-old further predicted Djokovic would win the final set 7-5 to secure the match. Although Brady's prediction about the number of sets wasn't accurate, since Djokovic won in straight sets, his overall prediction of the Serb winning the match proved right.
"It's going to be three sets. Will be a really tough match for Novak, but here is my prediction. I think Novak gets off to a fast start and I'm gonna give it three sets. He is going to win the first set, Alcaraz is going to make some adjustments in the second and beat him 6-1 in the second, and they are going to have a battle throughout the third," Brady said.
"They are each going to break each other in the third set, and Novak is going to win 7-5 in the third set. It is going to be an epic gold medal match. Gold medal for Serbia, bronze medal for the young Spaniard," he added.

"I knew that this was my last chance to win an Olympic gold": Novak Djokovic after defeating Carlos Alcaraz at the 2024 Paris Olympics
After his victory over Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic acknowledged that he recognized this might be his final opportunity to win an Olympic gold, which motivated him to focus intensely on achieving the goal.
"There are always doubts, but faith and the belief that I can achieve my goals are always stronger. I knew that this was my last chance to win an Olympic gold, so I had to concentrate as much as possible on my goal," Djokovic told the media (as quoted by Punto de Break).
Djokovic further expressed that hearing the Serbian anthem while standing atop the podium was an unforgettable experience.
"Nothing will ever be able to beat seeing myself on the podium listening to the Serbian anthem with the flag raised," he added.
Novak Djokovic became the oldest male player to win an Olympic gold. The world No. 2 has opted to skip the ongoing Cincinnati Open, and will next compete at the 2024 US Open as a defending champion. The New York Major begins on Monday, August 26.
