Nick Kyrgios turns emotional about his tennis journey ahead of impending 2025 comeback from injury

Nick Kyrgios has shared some nostalgic moments from his tennis career. The former World No. 13 has been away from the men's tour for the last 16 months due to fitness concerns.

Kyrgios stunned the men's locker room with a runner-up finish in the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. Despite winning the first set against Novak Djokovic in the final, he couldn't defeat the Serb and lift the title.

The Australian gave a sneak peak into his daily routine amid his highly anticipated comeback bid. He mentioned being fitter than earlier and sounded confident about quickly finding his form.

"Day in the life, full influencer voice over for you all, got some decent size on those shoulders there, we’re getting bigger," Nick Kyrgios said.
"Kygs was on one today. I don’t think I lost a set today, look at the footwork, look at the change of direction, the emotion. Backhand is looking as clean as ever. I'm definitely playing how I was playing in 2022, ready to get back out there and chop people, and give free lessons," he added.

Nick Kyrgios is among the few players who have managed to defeat the likes of Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer.

During a conversion on his tennis podcast called 'Good Trouble with Nick Kyrgios', the Australian mentioned that great players such as Federer, Nadal and Djokovic would have not expected to lose to him at the highest level.

"I don't think Federer, Nadal, or Djokovic ever thought they'd lose to me. I think they look back and they're like, 'How the hell did we manage to lose to him?'" Kyrgios said on his podcast.

The Australian leads his head-to-head against Djokovic 2-1, and defeated him at the 2017 BNP Paribas Open and the 2017 Mexican Open. He also edged past Rafael Nadal on three occasions out of their nine meetings on tour. Kyrgios beat the Spaniard at the 2014 Wimbledon, 2017 Cincinnati Open, and the 2019 Mexican Open.
