"Not as glam as Roland Garros!" - Taylor Fritz's girlfriend Morgan Riddle shares her Paris Olympics assessment as she supports the American

Taylor Fritz's influencer girlfriend Morgan Riddle has criticized certain aspects of the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympics. Riddle has also claimed that the Games in Paris have so far paled in comparison to the French Open.

Fritz has high hopes riding on him at this year's Olympics. The former World No. 5 has got off to a flying start in the French capital, winning both his men's singles and doubles first-round matches. In men's singles, the California native brushed aside Alexander Bublik, the Kazakh skill merchant, 6-4, 6-4. Meanwhile, alongside Tommy Paul in men's doubles, Fritz dispatched the Canadian duo of Milos Raonic and Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Riddle recently joined boyfriend Fritz in Paris, and as has become the norm for her, is capturing as much content as possible to take her followers into her Paris Olympics experience. Recently, the influencer took to Instagram to share her honest assessment of the Games in the French capital. She stated that when she arrived in Paris, the city wore a deserted look with empty restaurants and hotels all offering services for dirt-cheap prices. In her Instagram stories, she wrote:

"Paris Olympics first impressions:I thought the city would be insane, but it's the opposite. It feels quiet and empty compared to normal - tourism is way down. The airport was a ghost town when I got in. I got my hotel for a shockingly cheap price as they dropped everything last week when they realized no one was coming here, unless they are coming for the Olympics, dinner reservations are so easy".

The influencer also claimed that tickets for the Games are still widely available on its official resale site, but those for the popular events are selling out rapidly. Riddle added:

"There's a TON of tickets on the official resale site, but for the popular events they will go in about 10 seconds if you don't click fast enough. I've been desperately trying to get beach volleyball tix for the last 2 days with no luck".

Riddle proceeded to share a tennis-specific assessment too, as she compared the Paris Olympics' tennis tournament to the French Open, opining that the claycourt Major is more glamorous. She wrote:

"Tennis specifically, the Roland Garros site feels veryyy different. The plethora of bars, restaurants and food stands are closed - just a few food stalls and coffee, definitely not as glam as RG".

The influencer though, ended her brief review of the Games on a positive note, suggesting that she is intent on extending her stay in Paris beyond the two days she had originally planned. Riddle added:

"I was only planning on staying for 2 days to be honest - I only came for work purposes, I never watched Olympics growing up so I think I was a bit jaded to be going... which I'm embarrassed about now! But now that I'm here, I can confirm this is the coolest thing ever & I have extended my trip so I can stay and support T (Fritz), try to go to other sporting events & bring y'all along!!!".

Fritz is slated to partner Coco Gauff in the mixed doubles event, with the pair drawn to face the Argentine duo of Maximo Gonzalez and Nadia Podoroska on Tuesday, July 30.

On the same day, the World No. 12 is also scheduled to take on talented British youngster Jack Draper in singles. Draper, the World No. 27 and widely regarded as the next big thing in British tennis to carry on Andy Murray's legacy, comprehensively defeated veteran and former World No. 4 Kei Nishikori of Japan 6-1, 6-4.

Fritz and Draper have met on two previous occasions on the ATP Tour, with the first meeting (2022 Cinch Championships at Queen's Club, London) going the Brit's way, and the next one (2024 Bavarian International Tennis Championships, Munich) being clinched by Fritz.
