"Not a selfish man"- Serena Williams' ex-coach Rennae Stubbs reacts as Joe Biden endorses Kamala Harris after pulling out of US presidential elections

Serena Williams' ex-coach and tennis doubles legend Rennae Stubbs reacted to the current U.S. president, Joe Biden pulling out of the 2024 presidential election and endorsing vice president Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party candidate. President Biden's withdrawal from the election is expected to cause a significant reshaping of the Democratic Party as they prepare for his succession.

The 59-year-old Harris seems to be the frontrunner for the Democratic ticket in the elections post the announcement.

In response to the news, Rennae Stubbs took to X (formerly Twitter) to publicly express her support for Harris while also thanking Biden and expressing her admiration for him.

"Biden is a patriot. Not a narcissist, selfish man. He’s a good man who’s had tragedy in his life & has empathy! He also understands the importance of keeping a megalomaniac, narcissistic felon out of office! He picked a woman, nominated that woman and i will support that woman!" she wrote.

Stubbs retired from the sport in 2011 after a soaring career. She reached No. 1 on the world doubles rankings and claimed six Grand Slam titles, the most by an Australian woman. Post retirement, Stubbs launched her podcast with Racquet Magazine, "Racquet's Rennae Stubbs Tennis Podcast". She and co-host Caitlin Thompson discuss tennis with legends and other personalities from the sport.

With the upcoming presidential elections, Stubbs expressed her viewpoint on the chances of a woman candidate running for office from the Democratic Party, saying on X (formerly Twitter) that she would love to see women "control" the United States.

"There are so many amazing women in the Dem party. Pick two women and let’s finally let women control this country! Harris with Whitmer, Gillibrand, Baldwin, Duckworth, Smith to name a few! I would love to see women rule!" she wrote.

Vice president Kamala Harris along with the Governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer are among the top names to replace Joe Biden after his withdrawal from the upcoming elections. Former president Donald Trump will be running for office once again after being nominated by the Republican National Convention along with U.S. Senator, J.D. Vance.
