"Having kids makes a difference" - Caroline Wozniacki on balancing her tennis career with motherhood
Caroline Wozniacki opened up about managing her tennis career with her married life and motherhood in a press conference during the US Open 2024. She revealed that she is living a happy married life and does not let it affect her career.
"Of course marriage is a big thing and I'm very happily married but when you get married it doesn't really change your preparation for training or matches or days off," said Wozniacki.
Along with this, the 34-year-old expressed her gratitude for having children and how they have positively impacted her life.
"Having kids makes a big difference. Obviously my kids are there every day and I'm so grateful for that. It's the best job in the world and I love it. I try to make sure that I'm still a 100 per cent present mum whilst also trying to balance being the best tennis player I can be. I think that's where it can get a bit tricky sometimes," she added.
Ahead of the US Open 2024, Wozniacki also competed in the Cincinnati Masters. However, she faced an early exit courtesy of a loss against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the second round with a score line of 7-5, 6-4.
