Novak Djokovic visits Hublot headquarters in Switzerland, says the brand has brought him 'luck and success'

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic visited the headquarters of luxury watch manufacturer Hublot in Nyon, Switzerland on March 13.

One of the most successful tennis players of all time, the Serb became a brand ambassador for Hublot just a few days before the 2021 US Open. Fans were shocked that a top tennis player took so long before signing with a watch brand.

His biggest rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have been associated with Rolex and Richard Mille, respectively, for almost their entire careers.

Hublot shared a video on social media in which the World No. 1 remarked that the brand has brought him "a lot of luck and success."

"Hello, I'm Novak Djokovic and today, I'm visiting the Hublot headquarters in Switzerland," he said. "I'm very happy that my Hublot watch has followed me around the world in the tennis tournaments. It has brought me a lot of luck and success, and today I'm fortunate to visit the place where it was created."
"Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting #HublotAmbassador @djokernole at our Hublot manufacturer, where precision and passion for excellence meet. It was great to see you, thanks for the visit," Hublot's Instagram post read.

When the 35-year-old found himself in the middle of the COVID-19 vaccine controversy last year in Australia, Hublot's CEO Ricardo Guadalupe extended his support to the player, saying:

"The principle of vaccines is that it is something private. We [at Hublot] value personal freedom. Everyone can decide. One can be in favor or against. That's [Hublot's] position."

The 2015 French Open quarterfinals saw Novak Djokovic defeat Rafael Nadal and Stan Wawrinka beat Roger Federer.

Wawrinka went on to win the championship by outperforming the Serb in the final (4–6, 6–4, 6–3, 6–4). When asked to pick a match where he experienced the most beautiful emotions, Wawrinka chose the 2015 Roland Garros final.

"It’s tough to say, but I would probably pick the French Open final against Novak Djokovic," Stan Wawrinka said. "It’s tough to pick one because I’ve had so many. I’m lucky I have many big memories, but the French Open has always been special. In France, winning the title after winning in juniors is something really special."

Djokovic completed his Career Grand Slam by winning in Paris in 2016 and added a second Roland Garros trophy to his cabinet in 2021.
