Novak Djokovic and wife Jelena enjoy date night on Valentine's Day at a concert in Novi Sad
Novak Djokovic and his wife Jelena were seen enjoying a date night in Novi Sad on Valentine's Day at Serbian singer Zeljko Samardzic's concert.
The pair, who share two kids together - eight-year-old son Stefan and five-year-old daughter Tara - stepped out in Novi Sad to celebrate Valentine's Day together and were seen grooving to the tunes and embracing lovingly during the concert.
Everyone present was delighted to notice the couple at the concert and at one point the spotlight even pointed towards the happy pair who were holding each other and swaying to the music. The couple will celebrate their 18th year together this year.
The tennis star co-founded the Novak Djokovic Foundation in 2007 along with wife Jelena, who is the global CEO of the foundation. The foundation helps children get a quality pre-school education. The couple have worked on many projects that help teachers, improve school facilities, and focuses on early child education and care.
A timeline of Novak Djokovic and wife Jelena's relationship
The Serbian tennis legend started dating Jelena, formerly Jelena Ristic, in 2005 when the World No.1 was 18 and Jelena was 19. The pair first met in high school.
They were together for 11 years before the 22-time Grand Slam champion proposed to Jelena, and on 26 September 2013 the Serbian tennis star announced that he was engaged to be married.
The couple tied the knot on 10 July 2014 and welcomed their first child together, a boy named Stefan, in October 2014. The pair also welcomed a daughter named Tara in September 2017.
While the tennis star is still active on tour, Jelena is actively involved with the Novak Djokovic Foundation, which the couple co-founded in 2007.
At the recently concluded Australian Open, where Djokovic clinched his 22nd Grand Slam title, he revealed during the post-match press conference the pain of staying away from his wife and family and also how he was able to achieve his ambitions through his wife's support.
"Being absent from the children is not something that makes me very happy. It's a balancing act between me and my wife and the close people in my life. So her being there for our children and everything, it allows me to be able to do what I love and still make some strides, significant strides, in this sport." he stated.
In the past, the 35-year-old has revealed that no matter what result he achieves in tennis, his wife is always there for him.
