Paris Olympics 2024 men's singles seeds: Jannik Sinner top seed, followed by Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz
The Paris Olympics are just a few days away, and the men's singles tennis tournament will have some very big names competing. Jannik Sinner will be the top seed while Novak Djokovic will be seed No. 2.
While Sinner will be competing in the Olympics for the very first time in his career, it will be his fifth appearance for Djokovic. The Serb has just one medal to his name so far, which is a bronze from the 2008 Beijing Games, and he will aim to win his maiden gold.
The two will be followed by French Open and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz at No. 3. The Spaniard will make his Olympic debut at the back of some terrific run of form. Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Alexander Zverev is the fourth seed and he will be followed by Daniil Medvedev, who reached the quarterfinals of that edition.
Sixth seed Alex de Minaur will make his first appearance at the prestigious sporting event after reaching his second successive Grand Slam quarterfinal at Wimbledon. Another player making his Olympic debut is eighth seed Casper Ruud, who suffered back-to-back second-round exits at Wimbledon and the Nordea Open.
Taylor Fritz is also appearing in the sporting event for the very first time in his career, and he is seeded eighth. He is the highest-ranked male player from the United States.
Tommy Paul is the second top-10 seeded male player from the United States at the Paris Olympics
Two-time Grand Slam runner-up Stefanos Tsitsipas is the ninth seed in the men's singles tournament at the Paris Olympics, six spots below where he was in Tokyo. Following the Greek is Tommy Paul, who is the second American male player among the seeds. The 27-year-old is tenth.
Tokyo 2020 quarterfinalist Ugo Humbert is the 11th seed and the highest-ranked player from the host nation, France. This is the second consecutive edition of the Olympics where the 26-year-old is seeded. Holger Rune is seeded 12th in what is his maiden edition of the prestigious event, and he is followed by Lorenzo Musetti at 13th.
Sebastian Baez is the 14th seed while Felix Auger-Aliassime is 15th. Local boy Arthur Fils joined the list of seeded players after Hubert Hurkacz withdrew.
