Paula Badosa shared that she would "never forget" the words of motivation from her boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas that inspired her comeback on the tour.

Badosa had a difficult start to the 2024 season which instilled in her thoughts of giving up. In a recent interview, the Spaniard explained how Tsitsipas encouraged her to rebound, asserting that she would soon reach the top 10 rankings again.

"I will never forget it. I wasn't well, I wasn't where I wanted to be. And I told him: I think I'm going to give up this year because I don't see myself going back to this. And he looked at me with a face like I was crazy and said, 'but you're going to be in the top 10 again soon," Badosa said.

Paula Badosa improved her performance in the second half of the season, winning the Citi Open title and reaching the semifinals on three other occasions. She rose from No. 140 in May to World No. 12 at the end of the season.
