Badosa this week conducted a Q&A session on Instagram during which her followers asked her different questions. The Spaniard opened up about her favorite tournament, how she wanted to be remembered, and also about her participation in the upcoming Billie Jean King Cup.
One of the fans asked her about 21-year-old Raducanu. The question was:
"Describe Emma Raducanu in three words? (you are my two favorites)"
Badosa posted the question with an image of her with the Brit in the background. Her three-word response was:
"Strong, fighter and beautiful"
Badosa and Raducanu were practice partners at the Citi Open this year and they also took their partnership off court.
Badosa said during the WTA 500 event,
"We went for lunch, for breakfast. We spoke a lot about how tough it is to deal with all these expectations - especially in her case. I had a little bit of the same in my career. Especially when you feel that anything you do, it's going to be crazy on social media. In her case, it's like that. I think she's dealing with it pretty well now."
Badosa and Raducanu met in the semifinals of the event and the Spaniard came through with a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 win. Badosa went on to defeat Marie Bouzkova in the final to win her first title since 2022.
