Paula Badosa echoes boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas’ sentiment of “waiting” ahead of BJK Cup in Spain

Paula Badosa sent an adorable message to her boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas saying how she awaited the Greek's presence at the Billie Jean King Cup in Malaga. However, the Greek is currently waiting 'very patiently' as an alternate at the ATP Finals in Turin.

Badosa is gearing up to compete at the Billie Jean King Cup where she will be spearheading Team Spain, who will be taking on Iga Swiatek-starring Poland in their opening round.

On the other hand, Tsitsipas narrowly missed out on qualifying for this year's ATP Finals but managed to clinch a spot as an alternate alongside Grigor Dimitrov due to Novak Djokovic's withdrawal from the event.

The Billie Jean King Cup's page posted a video of Paula Badosa from her practice session. The 26-year-old seemingly joked about how there were no tolls required to get close to the baseline, to which the Spaniard later reacted.

The tournament's page also asked the World No. 11 to show them his volleys in Malaga, to which he cheekily responded how he was 'very patiently' waiting for a shot at the ATP Finals as an alternate.

"Would love to join, but I’m currently too busy in Turin… waiting… patiently… very patiently… as an alternate," he wrote.

Paula Badosa later relayed her desire to meet her boyfriend.

"We are ALL waiting for you, right? @BJKCup," Badosa said.

Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitispas recently glammed it up for HOLA magazine with their sizzling chemistry in a photoshoot. They also candidly shared stories about how the other person had brought a significant change in their life.

The Greek recalled how he fell for the Spaniard when he saw her play at the Rod Laver Arena during the 2020 Australian Open.

"The first time I noticed Paula was when I saw her at the 2020 Australian Open, playing on centre court. It was love at first sight and I was completely mesmerised," Tsitsipas confessed.

Baodsa, meanwhile, said how Tsitsipas cheered her up during a very dark time in her career when she was struggling incessantly with her back injury.

"I met Stef just after I got injured. It was one of the hardest seasons for me, because I had never gone so many months without playing tennis, and he gave me the happiness, support and fresh air that I so needed at that time. The truth is that I felt very lucky that some light came into my life at such a dark time," Badosa revealed.

Paula Badosa also opened up about her boyfriend's 'unconditional support' during her recovery stage which ended up with him suffering.
