Paula Badosa joins boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas in Paris, sends adorable message about Greek after cafe outing in French capital
Paula Badosa recently captured and shared an endearing moment with boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas in Paris. The Spaniard is currently in the French capital with the Greek as the latter prepares for his 2024 Rolex Paris Masters campaign.
Badosa and Tsitsipas have been in a relationship since the first half of 2023. The Spaniard and the Greek went on to briefly part ways earlier this year but were soon back together.
After an injury-ravaged 2023 season, Paula Badosa herself has enjoyed an on-court resurgence in 2024. The former WTA World No. 2 is currently ranked 12th, and her latest outing came in the semifinals of the Ningbo Open against eventual champion Daria Kasatkina.
Unfortunately, the Spaniard had to retire mid-match owing to health issues. She later confirmed that her 2024 season was over and that she would be focusing on making a comeback at the Billie Jean King Cup.
Meanwhile, ATP World No. 11 Stefanos Tsitsipas' season is still continuing, with the Greek all set to start his 2024 Rolex Paris Masters campaign against Roberto Carballes Baena. Ahead of the match, Badosa took to her Instagram and shared a heartwarming moment with the Greek from a Parisian cafe.
The former WTA World No. 2 captioned the post:
"Paris, caffe latte & him"
Before their arrival in Paris, Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas were together in Basel, where the Greek competed in the Swiss Indoors, a prestigious ATP 500 event.
Paula Badosa comforted Stefanos Tsitsipas after Greek's painful Swiss Indoors Basel exit
Stefanos Tsitsipas was in Basel before making his way to Paris, and girlfriend Paula Badosa had joined her in the Swiss city. Tsitsipas participated in the recently concluded Swiss Indoors Basel, where he reached the quarterfinals.
However, in the quarters, the former ATP World No. 3 was ousted by French youngster Arthur Fils. While the pair's first set was a tight affair that eventually went the Frenchman's way after a tense tiebreak [7-6(5)], the second set was dominated by Fils [6-3], resulting in Tsitsipas' exit.
In the aftermath of the Greek's loss in Basel, Badosa took to Instagram to share two heartwarming pictures of the couple, as she appeared to comfort Tsitsipas. The Greek's quarterfinal exit in Basel greatly reduces his chances of featuring at the year-end Nitto ATP Finals.
Tsitsipas is currently 12th in the ATP Live Race to Turin, where the Nitto ATP Finals will be held. The Greek will have to muster a deep run in Paris to have any chance of sealing a spot for himself at the year-end event.
