Paula Badosa sends her love to boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas after being moved by touching tribute celebrating their 'soulmate' connection
Paula Badosa recently reacted to an adorable fan-made video describing the 'soulmate connection' between her and her boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas. The couple started dating in June 2023 and split up briefly in May this year before getting back together shortly after.
Badosa and Tsitsipas first met in May 2023 during the Italian Open, where the Greek made a bet with himself to text the Spaniard if she won the game. Badosa did end up winning the game, and he texted her on social media, extending his congratulations for the win.
The couple disclosed their relationship status shortly after by changing their Spotify profile pictures to selfies they had clicked together. While they have hinted at intending to keep their relationship private, the two express their affection for each other often. On October 12, a video was shared by one of their fans on Instagram, which celebrated the 'soulmate connection' shared by the two tennis stars.
Instagram user @tsitsiidosa, uploaded a video comprising clips of special moments between Badosa and Tsitsipas with the video caption:
"What's a soulmate? It's a, well, it's like a best friend, but more. It's the one person in the world who knows you better than everybody else. Someone who makes you a better person; actually they don't make you a better person, you do that yourself, because they inspire you."
Paula Badosa re-posted this on her Instagram story, and mesmerized with the video, she wrote:
"Awww @stefanostsitsipas98❤️ "
Paula Badosa opened up about the struggles she faced while watching Stefanos Tsitsipas play
In a recent press conference at the 2024 US Open, Paula Badosa opened up about the challenges while watching Tsitsipas play. She said they suffer a lot while supporting each other, considering their emotional nature, and revealed that there are moments when she can't even watch him play as she feels helpless.
"I think we both suffer a lot. We're very emotional, and as we say, we love each other so much, and we want the best for us," Paula Badosa said.
She added:
"Of course, we suffer; there are some moments I cannot even watch. It's tough to follow it because, also, we're used to being on the court, so we control a little bit of the situation, but from the outside, we can't do anything. So now I understand, also, the coaches, how much they suffer outside."
Paula Badosa recently competed at the China Open, where she reached the semifinals where she lost 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 to eventual champion Coco Gauff at the Diamond Court. She will next be seen competing at the Ningbo Open against Diana Shnaider on October 14.
