Paula Badosa sums up her personality with 4-word reaction as she shows off adorable childhood snap with piercing stare
Paula Badosa recently summed up her personality using a four-word reaction and shared an adorable photo of herself from her childhood. In the photo, the Spaniard could be seen looking at the camera with a piercing stare.
Badosa was born in November, 1997, in Manhattan, New York. Both her parents plied their respective trades in the world of fashion, and growing up, the Spaniard wanted to grow up to be a model. However, after she moved with her parents to Barcelona at the age of seven, Badosa was introduced to tennis, and there was no looking back.
The former World No. 2 continues to fondly reminisce about her childhood days on social media. Recently, Paula Badosa took to her Instagram Stories and shared two pictures. The first one was a childhood picture of her, looking with a piercing stare at the camera.
The second one was a present-day picture of the Spaniard, in which she struck a pose with an uncannily similar piercing stare. In this picture, Badosa posed in front of a practice court. The Spaniard captioned the post:
"Some things never change"
Last year, Badosa revisited her childhood and recalled how her love affair with tennis started.
"It was love at first sight" - Paula Badosa on tennis beginnings
In 2023, the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) produced a six-part video series, My Journey, and released it via its official YouTube channel. The third part revolved around Badosa, with the Spaniard recalling how she chose to pursue a career in tennis.
"I started playing tennis when I was seven years old, I felt it was quite easy for me, you know? So then I realised that, well I think I am good at this. So since then, I didn't even try the other sports, I just went straight to tennis and it was like love at first sight," Badosa said.
Badosa also shed light on her family's financial reality during her childhood, which made it tricky for her to make it as a professional tennis player due to the expenses associated with the sport.
"I have always been very aware, I know how tough it is to be a professional tennis player and how expensive it is, you know? And It's not for everyone. I come from a very humble family, so I always have been very independent, so I never wanted them to help me," Badosa added.
Badosa enjoyed a resurgence in 2024, finishing the year as the World No. 12. Her biggest success during the year came at the Citi Open, where she won her fourth singles title on the WTA Tour.
