Petra Kvitova seemingly snubs young fan after Miami Open triumph
Petra Kvitova seemingly snubbed a young fan while celebrating her 30th WTA career title at the Miami Open. The girl's mother nudged her daughter into Kvitova's path while she was hugging her team members, but couldn't get an autograph from the Czech.
Kvitova ended Elena Rybankina's 13-match winning streak in the Miami final, downing the 10th seed 7-6(14), 6-2. Rybakina had a chance to win the Sunshine Double after having reigned supreme at the Indian Wells Open last month, but she couldn't hold off Kvitova's power on Saturday.
This is Kvitova's first WTA 1000 title since the 2018 Madrid Open. Immediately after winning the match, she ran towards her box in the stands and started hugging her family and team.
However, a mother and a young fan also made their way down to the stands at that moment, to get a glimpse of the newly crowned champion. The enthusiastic mother nudged her daughter to sneak in an autograph while Kvitova was embracing her near and dear ones.
Understandably, the 33-year-old refused to oblige, waving the fan away nonchalantly. The WTA's official Twitter account shared a video of the Czech's winning moment, which also captured the incident.

Fans noticed the incident and were unhappy with Petra Kvitova for not giving the young girl an autograph.
"Real classy to swat a child away that just wanted an autograph just so you could huh a friend. Disgusting display," one fan tweeted.

Petra Kvitova says she is 'proud' and 'grateful' after Miami Open win
Czech star Petra Kviotva was over the moon after winning her 30th WTA title and 9th WTA 1000 title at the Miami Open.
The two-time Wimbledon champion outclassed Elena Rybakina in the final, who was one win away from clinching the Sunshine Double. After the first set, which lasted a whopping 66 minutes, Kvitova dominated the second set with two breaks of serve.
The 33-year-old, with her triumph at the Miami Open, has now surged into the top 10 of the WTA rankings. Kvitova had never crossed the quarterfinal stage before in Miami, but she managed to change that this year in style.
Following her win, the 33-year-old took to Twitter to express her gratitude.

The tie-breaker in the first set between Kvitova and Rybakina lasted 22 minutes, making it the longest tiebreaker ever played in WTA 1000 final history.
