PICTURE: Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf's daughter Jaz hits the golf course, captures scenic views as she tees off
Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf's children have developed a passion for sports, much like their legendary parents. While the couple's son, Jaden, is pursuing a career in professional baseball, their daughter Jaz recently shared a glimpse of her time on the golf course.
Agassi and Graf's son Jaden often posts updates about his baseball journey and his relationship with his girlfriend Catherine Holt on social media, but their daughter Jaz has kept a low profile. However, she recently offered a glimpse into her life.
Earlier this year, Andre Agassi joined Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz for a star-studded golfing session in Las Vegas before the Spanish duo's clash in the Netflix Slam. As the trio joyfully posed together, the memorable picture caught the attention of the eight-time Grand Slam champion's daughter Jaz.
It appears that Jaz has inherited her father's interest in golf. She recently took to Instagram and shared a glimpse of her hitting the course with a friend, set against a scenic backdrop.
Jaz Agassi, who describes herself as a "fitness trainer" on Instagram, also shared glimpses of her impressive home gym setup on social media recently. She showed off the addition of some new tennis equipment, as she invested in a Playmate tennis ball launcher.
"Jaz plays a little bit of tennis, Jaden not so much" - Steffi Graf on her and Andre Agassi on not introducing tennis into their children's lives
Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf made a conscious decision not to push tennis onto their children. In a 2011 interview with the Sunday Herald Sun, Agassi shared that he and the German had experienced enough of the "weird" sport and added that it was rare for a second-generation player to succeed in tennis. Agassi said (via FoxSports):
"Tennis? I just think we've had enough, quite honestly. It's a weird sport. We don't see too many second-generation players. For us, it's about raising our children in a way we can share in their life and not always worry about their life."
Meanwhile, Graf shared that while their daughter Jaz did play a little tennis, their son Jaden had tried his hand at soccer and other sports before landing on baseball.
"Jaz plays a little bit of tennis, Jaden not so much. We never really introduced tennis so much into their lives. They've chosen other things that we were surprised with ... they love their arts and music. Jaden tried different sports, soccer and things and ended up with baseball. We nurture their desires and interests."
Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf themselves have developed an interest in pickleball since stepping away from professional tennis. After triumphing in Pickleball Slam 2, they are set to revive their partnership in the third edition of the event, taking on Andy Roddick and Eugenie Bouchard.
