Caroline Wozniacki's son James is set to turn two in a few days. The Danish tennis star recently shared a photo of her one-year-old son beaming in a full white Wimbledon outfit.
Wozniacki took to Instagram to share an adorable image of her son James, smiling happily while holding a plastic container with ice. He is dressed in a white polo shirt featuring the iconic Wimbledon logo, along with matching white shorts.
His curly blonde hair and bright expression give off a joyful vibe as he enjoys some time outside, possibly near a tennis court. Wozniacki's caption perfectly captures his mood:
"Happy boy 😊"
James was born on October 24, 2022. He is Wozniacki and her husband David Lee's second child after their daughter Olivia was born in 2021. Currently, Wozniacki, who retired earlier but recently returned to the tour, is juggling motherhood and her renewed tennis career.
Caroline Wozniacki opens up about balancing motherhood while striving to be the best tennis player she can be
2018 Australian Open winner Caroline Wozniacki got married to former NBA star David Lee in 2019. She announced her retirement from tennis in 2020 to focus on her family and a year later she gave birth to their daughter Olivia. James was born in 2022 and Wozniacki announced a return to tennis a year later.
The Dane has been on the tour for more than a year now and she is trying to balance motherhood and tennis. At the 2024 US Open, after winning her third-round match against Jessika Ponchet, Wozniacki opened up about her struggles during a press conference.
"Having children is a big difference. Obviously, my kids are there every day, and I appreciate that a lot. It's the best job in the world, and I love it. I try to ensure that I remain a fully present mother while also trying to balance being the best tennis player I can be. I think that's where it can get a bit tricky sometimes," Caroline Wozniacki said.
"My family is the most important thing to me, but at the same time, I love winning. I have to find the balance between dedicating time to myself, recovering, playing, and training as much as I can, and not feeling guilty about taking a few hours away from the kids. I think sometimes I feel guilty, but I try to manage it as best as I can," she added.
Currently, ranked World No. 72, Wozniacki was ousted in the fourth round of the New York Major by Beatriz Haddad Maia and has not played a professional match since then.
