PICTURE: Casper Ruud, conspicuous by his absence at Metz 250, makes stylish red carpet appearance with girlfriend Maria in Oslo ahead of ATP Finals

Casper Ruud recently attended the Elle Gala in Oslo with his girlfriend Maria Galligani. The World No. 7 is set to begin his campaign at the Moselle Open this week, though he hasn’t been seen around the Arenes de Metz indoor stadium yet.

Ruud was last seen competing in the Paris Masters, where he lost to Jordan Thompson in the second round. The Australian eliminated him in two hours and 33 minutes, 7-6(3), 3-6, 6-4.

The 25-year-old made his presence felt at the Elle Gala in Oslo with his long-time girlfriend Maria Galligani. The couple caught the shutterbugs' attention in glamorous attire as they celebrated beauty and fashion at the event.

Casper Ruud and Maria have been dating since 2018. Maria, also from Norway, holds a master's degree in Psychology from the University of Southern Denmark. She is often spotted supporting Ruud during his matches and was present court-side during his title-winning run in Barcelona this year.

The couple also attended the Elle Gala last year in Norway. Ruud shared a candid snap of them and said:

"Had a fun night out at the @ellenorge gala. Takk for festenđź’«".

The former World No. 2 picked up his first title of the season in Barcelona and was also the last man standing in Geneva. He reached the finals in Los Cabos, Acapulco and Monte-Carlo, but couldn't get over the line in any of these events.

Despite a modest season on tour, Ruud has scored enough points to qualify for the ATP Finals this year. He finished in sixth place above Alex de Minaur and Andrey Rublev with 3,855 points in the Race to Turin.

While the ATP Finals begins on Sunday, November 10, Ruud is expected to feature in the Moselle Open this week. He is the second seed at the event and one of the favorites to make a deep run.

Casper Ruud will square off against Benjamin Bonzi in the second round of the Moselle Open. The head-to-head between the duo is locked at 0-0.

While Ruud received a first-round bye at the event, Bonzi entered the main draw via the qualifiers and outfoxed Roberto Bautista Agut in the first round. He brushed aside the Spaniard in straight sets, 7-6(3), 6-3.

The Norwegian will face stiff competition from the likes of Andrey Rublev, Alex Michelsen and Corentin Moutet in Metz this week. The winner between Ruud and Bonzi will either take on Pierre-Hugues Herbert or Quentin Halys in the quarterfinals.
