Emma Raducanu recently shared a glimpse of her downtime after announcing her exit from the Hong Kong Open. The British player is currently suffering from a foot injury, which she sustained at the Korea Open.
Raducanu faced Daria Kasatkina on September 21, 2024. She just played the first set of the match and initially asked for a medical timeout, and then finally had to withdraw from the game, citing an injury in her left foot. Kasatkina won the match with a score of 6-1.
Following this incident, the British player withdrew her name from the China Open, which was scheduled to take place from September 25 to October 6 at the National Tennis Center in Beijing. The 21-year-old then withdrew her name from the Hong Kong Open as well, which is slated for October 28 to November 3, 2024, at Victoria Park, Hong Kong.
After her withdrawals, Emma Raducanu is currently on her downtime and shared a glimpse of how she is spending her time. She shared a picture of herself sitting at a restaurant and striking an adorable pose on the table decorated with a lit candle. The story's caption read:

She recently shared a statement, announcing her withdrawal from the Hong Kong Open., and along with this, she updated her fans about the injury in her left foot, stating that is making good progress. She took to her X account and wrote:
"Hellooo, Iām sorry to say that I will not be able to play in Hong Kong next week. Whilst my foot is making good progress, I need a little more time before I am match fit. I hope to be able to come back and play this tournament in the future! In the meantime, I am doing what I can to be ready for BJKC."
Before the Korea Open, Emma Raducanu competed in the US Open, where she faced an early exit after losing to Sofia Kenin in the very first round with a score of 6-1, 3-6, 6-4. The 21-year-old also competed in the Citi Open, where she reached the quarterfinal; however, she fell short of making it to the semi-finals after Paula Badosa nabbed the win with a score of 4-6, 7-5, 6-4.
