“It's far beyond ordinary right now what Frances Tiafoe is doing" - American's father Constant
Recently, Frances Tiafoe and his family did an interview with Yonex Tennis, his tennis equipment sponsor. In the video, his father, Constant, reminisced about playing tennis with Tiafoe when he was younger.
However, Constant revealed that he stopped playing with him when Tiafoe was just nine years old because he had become so skilled that Constant could no longer compete with him.
Constant said that tennis has been a "blessing" for his family and also commended the former World No.10's performance on the court, stating that it is "far beyond ordinary."
“I pretty much played him when he was 9. And I lost. So from that point on, I decided to leave him alone . Because his level was not for me anymore. For us the family, I mean tennis has been a blessing. It's far beyond ordinary right now what Frances is doing" Constant said.
Looking ahead, Frances Tiafoe will begin his 2025 season at the Brisbane International which will take place from December 30, 2024, to January 6, 2025. His last appearance at the ATP 250 hard court tournament was seven years ago, in 2018, where he was eliminated in the first round.
