PICTURE: Jannik Sinner shares romantic kiss with girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya amid tennis couple's respective China Open campaigns
Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya were spotted sharing a romantic moment at the China National Tennis Center in Beijing. The two kissed each other before the ATP World No. 1's opening encounter at the China Open against Nicolas Jarry.
In mid-May this year, rumors began swirling about Sinner and Kalinskaya being in a relationship. Later, during his French Open campaign, Sinner confirmed that he and the Russian were in a relationship. However, he maintained that they have decided to keep their relationship low-profile.
Currently, both Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya are in Beijing for their respective China Open campaigns. Sinner kickstarted his campaign on Thursday, September 26, with a first-round match against Nicolas Jarry.
Ahead of the match, the Italian and his WTA World No. 14 girlfriend were seen sharing an intimate kiss. The romantic moment was later shared on X (formerly Twitter).
Fast forward to his match against Jarry, Sinner looked out of sorts in the first set, with the Chilean surprisingly winning it 6-4. However, the reigning Australian Open and US Open champion soon turned things around, winning the second and third sets 6-3 and 6-1 respectively to progress to the third round.
Shortly after the match, Jannik Sinner pointed to the sky, dedicating his win to his late aunt Meggi. He had also dedicated his US Open title triumph to his aunt, who, at the time, was alive but severely ailing.
Meanwhile, Anna Kalinskaya is set to start her own China Open campaign on Friday, September 27. The Russian, seeded No. 10 in the women's singles draw at the WTA 1000 event, will face American Hailey Baptiste in her opening encounter.
Anna Kalinskaya was recently spotted wearing Jannik Sinner's clothes
Both Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya arrived in Beijing well before their respective China Open campaigns started to practice on the hard courts of the China National Tennis Center. During one of Kalinskaya's practice sessions, the Russian was seen sporting a white t-shirt that Sinner had been wearing previously during his training session.
Later, Kalinskaya was again spotted wearing one of Jannik Sinner's clothes. This time around, it was a white hoodie that the Italian had been seen wearing on his way out of his Beijing hotel.
The World No. 1's next challenge in Beijing will be to get past Kalinskaya's compatriot, Roman Safiullin. The two-time Major winner is the favorite going into the match, and if he does go through to the fourth round, Sinner will meet either Jiri Lehecka or the winner between Roberto Bautista Agut and Arthur Rinderknech.
