PICTURE: Jessica Pegula channels inner Walmart employee, shows off name tag while shooting 'something fun' in latest collaboration

Jessica Pegula recently channeled her inner Walmart employee as she wore the American multinational retail corporation's uniform. Pegula wrapped up her 2024 tennis season after competing at the WTA Finals and has since been enjoying the off-season.

She lost her first two group stage matches of the Finals to Coco Gauff and Barbora Krejcikova. The American was scheduled to face Iga Swiatek in the third group stage match but withdrew from the season-ending tournament due to a left knee injury.

Last month, she attended the wedding of her close friend and fellow tennis player, Madison Keys, in Charleston. This week, Pegula shared a picture of her dressed in a Walmart employee's uniform. In the photo, the former World No.3 was standing in front of a table filled with boxes of Ready Clean Bars, a plant-based protein bar brand. Her dress also featured a name tag. Jessica Pegula recently showed her support for the HEARTS Act, inspired by Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin. The NFL's Buffalo Bills are owned by Pegula's mother Kim and father Terry Pegula. In January 2023, Hamlin experienced a cardiac arrest during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

It was because of the quick response of athletic trainers and medical professionals in the stadium who administered CPR and used an Automated External Defibrillator, that Hamlin's life was saved on the field. The legislation, supported by Hamlin himself, will help ensure that more individuals are trained in CPR and that AEDs are more readily available.

Jessica Pegula endorsed the lifesaving HEARTS Act being passed by sharing what Damar Hamlin and her father had said on her Instagram stories .

Speaking about the bill, Hamlin said:

“From schools to ball fields, this new law will help provide access to AEDs and education to teach CPR in schools . I'm proud and humbled that my experience has led to this moment, and this opportunity to protect kids across the country .”

Extending his support for the grants for AED, Jessica Pegula's father, Terry said :

“Grants to schools for AEDs will ensure that students, staff, and families have access to critical resources when every second counts . Our team has experienced first-hand the impact of these lifesaving measures with Damar Hamlin and Kim Pegula. This bill will make Western New York, and communities around the country safer, and ultimately save lives ."

The US Senate recently passed the Cardiomyopathy Health Education, Awareness, Research, and Training in Schools Act, also known as the HEARTS Act. The Act will aim to provide funding for CPR training and the availability of AEDs in schools.
