PICTURE: Paula Badosa & boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas share adorable selfie as power couple gear up to set Australian Open 2025 ablaze
Paula Badosa shared an adorable selfie with her boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas as the duo gear up for the 2025 Australian Open. The Spaniard has announced that the couple will be channeling their 'teamwork' to set the Australian stage ablaze.
Badosa and Tsitsipas began dating each other during the 2023 European clay swing. The couple faced their fair share of challenges during their relationship but are currently going strong.
Tsitsidosa, as lovingly called by fans, recently competed at the World Tennis League for the team Eagles alongside Iga Swiatek and Alexander Schevchenko. However, they were eliminated in the group stages.
Paula Badosa shared a selfie with Stefanos Tsitsipas on her Instagram story and announced that they were on their way to Australia. She wrote:
“Australia here we come @stefanostsitsipas98 bring it on 2025 🤜🤛teamwork.”
Interestingly, during a recent couple's photoshoot with the Spanish outlet Hola, Tsitispas revealed that he fell for Badosa when he saw her play on the Center Court during the 2020 Australian Open.
“I would say the first time I noticed Paula was when I saw her at the 2020 Australian Open, playing on Centre Court. It was love at first sight and I was completely mesmerized from that day on. I remember thinking to myself that one day we would be together,” Tsitsipas said.
"We were having a very romantic moment" - When Paula Badosa dreamed about winning the Australian Open with Stefanos Tsitsipas
After Stefanos Tsitsipas mentioned Paula Badosa's dream about the couple winning the Australian Open, the Greek said that the Spaniard would do a better job at narrating her dream.
After her first-round win at Wimbledon 2023, Badosa explained her dream during the post-match press conference.
“Yeah, well, I was injured in Australia. I watched his match, the final. Of course, I had jet lag because I was in Spain. I decided to watch that match,” she said.
Though Tsitsipas is a two-time Grand Slam finalist, Badosa is yet to go past the quarterfinals.
“Surprising, because I never dream about tennis players, but I dreamt about him that night, that we were both winning Australian Open. Then it was like we were having a very romantic moment, but I'm not going to explain. I'm just going to leave it there,” she added, laughing.
While Paula Badosa will kick her season off at the 2025 Brisbane International, Stefanos Tsitsipas will be a part of Team Greece at the United Cup.
