Carlos Alcaraz is all set to make his Olympic debut in Paris. The Wimbledon 2024 champion will also get to partner with the 22-time Grand Slam winner, Rafael Nadal in men's doubles as the two stars gear up to represent Spain at the Games.
The dream duo of Spain's two top players has gotten tennis fans in a frenzy. The two have earned the name 'Nadalcraz' as they eye Olympic glory in Paris.
Carlos Alcaraz recently commented on the nickname 'Nadalcraz' during an interview with Eurosport:
"Nadal's name always has to come first. For me it is incredible to be able to learn from him. It is a unique experience. These first Olympics are a dream, but it makes it even more special to play doubles with your idol."
The creativity of the fans didn't stop here as a few more nicknames were recommended for the star duo on the internet.
Rafael Nadal will be returning to the Games after skipping the Tokyo Olympics held in 2021. The Spaniard has won two gold medals with victories in the singles competition in 2008 and doubles in 2016. The veteran will be eyeing more medals as he gears up for what might be his last appearance at the quadrennial event.

Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal and the rest of the Spanish Olympic tennis team appeared for a press conference on Wednesday before the event starts.
21-year-old Alcaraz, fresh off Wimbledon and French Open wins, now aims for victory in men's doubles at the Olympics.
During the press conference, Alcaraz reflected on debuting in the Olympics along with the 'King of clay':
"Playing with Rafa is a dream, but that doesn't mean guaranteed success. Medals aren't won by name. It will be a great experience, and we must adapt gradually."
The youngster also spoke about shifting from singles play and competing in the doubles at the Olympics:
"I have less experince and I hope I can adapt quickly to playing doubles. I like playing it, but I've never been able to because of the singles. I can learn everything from Rafa - that way of competing, of fighting and that humilty off the court."
The 2024 Paris Olympics is set to begin on Friday, 26 July as nations and players gear up for the hunt for Olympic medals.
