Rio Open 2023: Where to watch, TV schedule, live streaming details and more

The ninth edition of the Rio Open will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from February 20 to 26. The ATP 500 claycourt tournament is a part of the Latin American Golden Swing and has been held every year since 2014, with the exception of 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The inaugural edition of the event was won by none other than the 22-time Major champion Rafael Nadal. The tournament counts David Ferrer, Dominic Thiem and Diego Schwartzman among its winners as well.

Reigning US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz won the last edition in 2022 and returns this year to defend his title. The top seed will begin his campaign against Brazilian wildcard Mateus Alves.

Alcaraz made his comeback this week from an injury layoff at the ongoing Argentina Open. Playing his first tournament since November, the World No. 2 has shown remarkable form to reach the final and will be eager to continue the momentum next week in Rio as well.

World No. 12 Cameron Norrie, too, has made it to the final in Buenos Aires, at the conclusion of which, he will head to the Rio Open. Seeded second in the upcoming ATP 500 tournament, the Brit has drawn a qualifier in the first round.

Third seed Lorenzo Musetti faces a qualifier in his opener as well, while fourth seed Francisco Cerundolo takes on Roberto Carballes Baena.

Diego Schwartzman, Sebastian Baez, Albert Ramos-Vinolas, and Federico Coria are seeded fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively.

Former winner Dominic Thiem, too, will be in contention in this competition and kickstarts his challenge against Brazil's Thiago Monteiro.
