Rohan Bopanna, Matthew Ebden set to split after ATP Finals 2024 match on November 15

Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden are set to end their partnership after the ATP Finals 2024 in Turin. On Friday, November 15, the Indo-Australian duo will play their last match against the German pair of Kevin Krawietz and Tim Putz.

Bopanna and Ebden have not had the best of times of late as they are languishing at the bottom of the points table in the Bob Bryan Group. They began the ATP Finals with a defeat to the Italian duo of Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori.

Then they lost in straight sets to Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic. Bopanna and Ebden would now be looking to finish their partnership on a high with a win over Krawietz and Putz.

“It has been an up and down journey. We had a great first three months, and then we had a few challenges along the way in terms of our performance,” Bopanna told ATPTour.com.

“We made Turin, and we talked at the end of last year. But this year, we decided that we are going to continue, to go again for another year,” Ebden said.

Having plied their trade together for two years, Bopanna and Ebden have tasted loads of success. Earlier this year, they won the Australian Open men’s doubles title after beating Bolelli and Vavassori in the final.

Bopanna also became the oldest World No.1 and the oldest Grand Slam champion at the age of 44. The duo also played in the semi-finals of the French Open earlier this year and won the Miami Open. Back in 2023, Bopanna and Ebden also won the Indian Wells title.

On the back of his impressive performances with Ebden, Bopanna also secured an automatic qualification for the Paris Olympics. The pair also finished as runners-up in the US Open last year.
