Rohan Bopanna, Sumit Nagal to headline PSPB Inter-Unit Tennis Tournament in Pune

The 43rd PSPB Inter-Unit Lawn Tennis Tournament is all set to get underway and will feature the likes of Rohan Bopanna and Sumit Nagal. The tournament will be held from November 27 to November 30 at the Deccan Gymkhana in Pune.

The competition will be organized by the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and will feature several big names. Top Indian talents such as Divij Sharan, V.M Ranjeet, Yuki Bhambri, and Vishnu Vardhan will all be competing.

Among the female players, the likes of Prarthana Thombare, Ankita Raina, Rashmi Chakravarthi, and Riya Bhatia will be seen in action. All matches will be conducted under the rules and regulations set by the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

The tournament will feature both team and individual events. The Mens, Women's and Veterans will be three different categories that the participating players will be competing in. The event will be overseen by both nationally and internationally certified officials.


Over hundred players to compete at the 43rd PSPB Inter-Unit Lawn Tennis Tournament

The 43rd PSPB Inter-Unit Lawn Tennis Tournament will see more than hundred players competing for glory. The players will be representing teams from some of the leading oil and gas corporations.

Hosts BPCL, Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited are some of the teams featuring. Bopanna, Nagal and Divij Sharan are among the players representing the Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL).

Some other top stars such as Davis Cup performers Yuki Bhambri, V.M Ranjeet and J. Vishnuvardan will compete for ONGC. The BPCL will feature a good mix of youth and experience. The likes of young talent Vaishnavi Adkar and veteran Rajkumar Dubey will be playing for the team.

The tournament will present the opportunity to several established players to fine-tune their skills against some talented Indian opponents. For the younger and more inexperienced names, the competion should serve as a great opportunity to learn and showcase their ability.
