Sebastian Korda's girlfriend Ivana Nedved sacrifices her sleep to support American at Brisbane International 2025
Sebastian Korda's girlfriend, Ivana Nedved, recently opened up about sacrificing her sleep to support her boyfriend in the first match of the 2025 season. Korda is scheduled to compete at the Brisbane International, and the couple has reached Australia.
Korda and Nedved have been in a relationship for three years, as they started dating in 2021. The former belongs to a family of athletes, as his parents, both Petr Korda and Regina Rajchrtova, are former tennis players, and his two sisters, Nelly Korda and Jessica Korda, are professional golf players.
Nedved also belongs to a sporting family, as her father, Pavel Nedved, was a Czech football player.
Nedved has been incredibly supportive of Sebastian Korda, as she is usually seen cheering for him from the player's box and travels with him for his tournaments. She recently showcased a sweet gesture of support by sacrificing her sleep to support Korda at Brisbane International.
Nedved took to her Instagram story and shared a picture of Brisbane, where she wrote:
"4.5 hours of sleep laterš"
Korda will commence his 2025 season by competing at the Brisbane International and is scheduled to square off against Arthur Cazaux on December 30.
Sebastian Korda opened up about his girlfriend's support
In an interview with Daily Express in July this year, Sebastian Korda spoke about his relationship with girlfriend Ivana Nedved. He emphasized that she understood the life of an athlete and was aware of the sacrifices that need to be made. She called him an 'amazing partner' and said that she has always been there for him.
"I mean she understands, the best thing is she understands sports which is great,ā Korda said. āShe understands how difficult it is to be a professional athlete and that thereās a lot of sacrifices."
He added:
"Sheās an amazing partner to have and Iām very lucky to have someone that just understands it and always is trying to be there and just always being there is probably the biggest key.ā
Sebastian Korda's 2024 season did not pan out as expected as he sustained injuries this year and couldn't advance further than the second round of the US Open. Following his loss against Tomas Machac at the US Open, the American withdrew from several matches. Days after this, he shared an update about his surgery on October 12, showcasing eagerness to return to the court.
