"See you soon" - Novak Djokovic's wife Jelena fondly looks back on "Paris Diaries" with Serb days after his unfortunate French Open exit

Novak Djokovic's wife Jelena offered a glimpse into her vacation in Paris. The 10-slide post came just days after the defending champion exited from the French Open due to a knee injury.

The World No. 1 made a shocking withdrawal from the French Open after sustaining a knee injury. Scans later revealed that he had torn the meniscus in his right knee. In a press conference following his withdrawal, he disclosed that he had been dealing with the issue for some time, and it worsened during his quarterfinal match against Francisco Cerundolo. As he takes some time off from the sport, the netizens got a glimpse of him with his wife recently.

Jelena recently shared highlights from her time in Paris, capturing some memorable moments. From posing elegantly at the Arc de Triomphe to cycling through the streets, Jelena shared every joyful experience. However, in the 10-slide post, the Serb appeared in only one image.

Jelena first met Novak Djokovic in high school in Serbia, where they started playing tennis together before beginning to date. After eight years of dating, they got engaged in Monte Carlo in 2013. Despite the long distance, with the Serb focusing on his professional tennis career and Jelena studying luxury brand management in Milan, their relationship thrived. They eventually tied the knot in 2014.

Following the scans, Novak Djokovic promptly decided to undergo surgery at a clinic in Paris. Everyone was closely monitoring his condition, and tensions eased when the Serbian star provided a positive update.

He announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the surgery went well, though he was still in the recovery phase. Along with the reassuring message, 'Nole' shared a photo with his family, although he was seen on crutches.

"In the past day, I had to make some tough decisions after sustaining a meniscus tear during my last match. I’m still processing it all but I am happy to update you that the surgery went well. I am so appreciative of the team of doctors who have been by my side…" Djokovic wrote in the captions.

The torn meniscus has sidelined Djokovic for an extended period. The 24-time Grand Slam champion is expected to miss the Wimbledon Championships and possibly the Paris Olympics later this year. This injury adds to a challenging year for the 37-year-old, who has yet to win a title in 2024, creating a significant obstacle in his pursuit of a 25th Major title.
