Serena Williams' ex-coach lashes out at trolls; slams "idiots" JD Vance, Donald Trump over climate change controversy amid hurricane Milton news

Serena Williams' ex-coach, Rennae Stubbs, slammed Republican members Donald Trump, JD Vance, and Ron DeSantis for their alleged stance on climate change amid warnings about Hurricane Milton. She also fought off a troll who asked her to "stick to tennis".

Hurricane Milton, a Category 4 storm that was classified as Category 5 for a brief period, is headed towards Florida and expected to hit Tampa Bay by Wednesday. Milton comes less than two weeks after Hurricane Helene wreaked havoc on the Floridians.

A video of meteorologist John Morales was posted on X where he was overcome with emotions talking about the dangers of the upcoming Hurricane Milton. Rennae Stubbs, a tennis coach who has overseen the likes of Serena Williams and Genie Bouchard, reposted the video and slammed "ignorant people".

"When are ignorant people going to listen to the SCIENTISTS! U keep voting for people that say there is no such thing as climate change!? idiots like Vance/Desantis/Trump! Vance has the audacity 2 say if u don’t have kids u aren’t invested in the future! Im more invested than YOU!" Stubbs wrote.

Trump has for years called global warming a "hoax" but he has not used the word lately. Moreover, Vance recently claimed during the Vice Presidential debate that climate change is “a very important issue”.

Meanwhile, Stubbs also reverted to a troll who asked her to "stick to tennis".

"People like you are the reason the block was invented! Bye ✌🏽 and i hope u don’t have kids," she wrote.

In a separate post on Twitter, the Aussie asserted that anyone who tells her to “stick to tennis” will immediately be blocked.

"The fact that people think someone can’t have opinions on other things in life outside of their “profession or expertise” is unreal to me! But yet you’de the type of people to stick ur nose in everyone’s biz!" she added.

The former World No. 1 doubles player later also mentioned that she was enjoying blocking people.

Rennae Stubbs used to reside in Tampa Bay, Florida, where Hurricane Milton is expected to hit in the coming days. She took to X to send her support to the state.

"Tampa Bay where i used to live and St Pete where i have so many friends living, everyone, please be safe. Evacuate if you can, I’m thinking of you all," she wrote.

According to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Hurricane Milton will be a "monster" and Floridians have been urged to brace for the state's largest evacuation effort in several years.
