Caitlin Clark led Iowa to their NCAA tournament final by defeating the reigning champions, South Carolina. Clark was instrumental in their success as she put up 41 points, six rebounds, and eight assists during the semifinal.

However, the Iowa Hawkeyes were unable to keep their momentum going as they lost the championship final to Louisiana State University on April 2.

"I want my legacy to be the impact that I can have on young kids and the people in the state of Iowa. I hope I brought them a lot of joy this season," Clark said during the post-match press conference.

Following the loss, a teary-eyed Clark answered a question about her influence in promoting women's basketball and encouraging young fans to take up the sport.
