Serena Williams' husband and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian is brimming with excitement as the much-anticipated Tomorrow's Golf League (TGL) makes its debut. Ohanian's enthusiasm for this groundbreaking venture, backed by golfing icons Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, reflects the anticipation and innovation that TGL promises to bring to the world of golf.
The TGL stands out as a futuristic, interactive golf league that fuses traditional golfing with cutting-edge simulation technology. Ohanian is the owner of the Los Angeles Golf Club, which is co-owned by Serena Williams, their daughters Olympia and Adira River, and Venus Williams.
His club has garnered support from a star-studded roster of investors, including NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo, soccer sensation Alex Morgan, and LPGA star Michelle Wie West.
The league made its debut on January 7, 2025, where the New York Golf Club lost 2-9 to the Bay Golf Club. A week later, on January 14, 2025, golf legend Tiger Woods will lead Jupiter Links Golf Club in a clash against the Los Angeles Golf Club.
Sports commentator Jake Marsh took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his enthusiasm, stating:
"I’m all in on @TGL. This is awesome."
Ohanian echoed this sentiment by resharing Marsh's post:
"And we’re only getting better. Lots to learn from tonight."

The 41-year-old also explained that his decision to base the club in Los Angeles was driven by the city’s unique ability to blend "sports, technology, and entertainment" seamlessly.
“Los Angeles is the perfect home for our TGL team . This city embodies the intersection of sports, technology, and entertainment, making it an ideal backdrop for the innovation and excitement we aim to bring to the world of golf and its fans,” he added
The format of TGL is designed to captivate audiences by featuring six teams, each composed of four PGA Tour players. The league's premier venue, the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, boasts a state-of-the-art setup that includes a massive golf simulator screen and a morphing green, spanning an area nearly the size of a football field.
