The penultimate ATP Masters 1000 event on the calendar, the 2024 Shanghai Masters, is underway in Shanghai, China from October 2. All the top players on the ATP circuit are playing at this event hoping to have a strong finish to the season.
No seeded players will be in action on Day 2 of the event as all 32 seeds have received opening-round byes. Of all the players involved on Day 2, the biggest name to take the court will be the three-time Major champion Stan Wawrinka. The Swiss player received a wild card to enter this event and will look to open his campaign against young Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the first round.
David Goffin will be another former Top 10 player on Day 2 at the Shanghai Masters. The former World No. 7 will look to get his campaign underway against Australian opponent James Duckworth.
The home favorites in action on Day 2 would be Zhang Zhizhen who is slated to take on Zizou Bergs of Belgium in the first round. The other Chinese player in action will be Yi Zhou who will face Yoshihito Nishioka of Japan in the first round.
