"She's married to a Jewish man"- Andy Roddick rubbishes Donald Trump's claims over Kamala Harris' stance on Israel as US Presidential race heats up

Andy Roddick has dismissed Donald Trump's claims that the United States' Vice President, Kamala Harris, is against Israel. Trump made the claims during a recent rally, as the political turmoil in the country shows no signs of abating, with the presidential race well and truly heating up.

Harris is widely presumed to be the presidential candidate fielded by the seemingly panic-stricken Democrats, following President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the race. Biden faced incessant criticism over his apparently disastrous performance at a debate with Trump on June 27 in Atlanta. Meanwhile, Trump surviving an assassination attempt on July 13 has seemingly helped the Grand Old Party regroup and bolster its chances of retaining power.

In light of these developments, Trump took multiple swipes at Harris during a Republican rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Wednesday, July 24. The former President questioned the incumbent Vice President on multiple fronts. However, in a controversial move, Trump opined that Harris is anti-Israel and that she is working against the interests of the Jewish fraternity.

"She's running away from Israel. Kamala Harris is totally against the Jewish people," Trump said during the rally.

Former World No. 1 Andy Roddick, who also takes a keen interest in American politics, dismissed Trump's claims, writing on X (formerly Twitter) that Harris' husband, attorney Doug Emhoff, is a Jewish man.

"She's married to a Jewish man," Roddick wrote.

The 2003 US Open champion proceeded to make a sarcastic jibe aimed at Trump.

"But to be fair that might not mean anything to him. He’s married immigrants, and also seems to not like them," Roddick added.

During a Republican rally in Chesapeake, Virginia, in June, Trump mixed up electric and solar-powered planes, criticizing people's growing demand for 'electric' forms of transportation.

"All they want is electric. They want electric army tanks. Electric planes. What happens when the sun isn't shining when you are up in the air? [laughter] I told you there would be problems. Now they want electric everything," Trump said.

Roddick took notice of Trump's words and proceeded to ridicule the former President, suggesting that while Trump's errors are pardoned by his supporters, President Biden faces constant criticism for his errors, which, more often than not, stem from his old age.

"I don’t think he knows the difference between electric and solar …….Also Biden is old and stutters," Roddick wrote on X.

The former World No. 1 is one of the tennis world's fiercest critics of Trump, and as the presidential race heats up even further, one can expect Roddick to keep weighing in with more of his blunt political commentary.
