Tennis stars have arrived in Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics, and seedings for the various competitions are being revealed ahead of the draw ceremony. The men's doubles seedings are out, with two Italian pairs at the top. These seedings were determined by combining the individual singles rankings or existing doubles rankings of each player.

Rounding out the top seeds are the German duo of Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz at No. 3, and USA's Tommy Paul and Taylor Fritz at No. 4.
Many tennis fans were surprised by the unusual ranking system at the Paris Olympics, which placed Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti as the top seeds. For the record, the duo has not played doubles together competitively. Many slammed the system for being "unserious."

Some fans made light of the situation by calling Sinner-Musetti a "scratch" pairing and pointing out that the former is currently experiencing a fever.
"Scratch pair being seeded n.1 and one of them is currently having a fever unserious but forza ig," a fan noted.
"What sort of insane ranking system was implemented to churn out this?" a fan said.
Additionally, the pair of Carloz Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal were absent from the seed list, as fans pointed out. Fans expressed their wish to see the Spaniards face the top-seeded Italians.
"Carlos and Rafa won't be seeded on the doubles. Sinner and Musetti will be the 1st seed. Give us that match!" another fan wrote on X.
"I just hope we somehow get the Rafa-Alcaraz & Sinner-Musetti game at the olympics. I want to see something," a fan commented.
"So danya/roman won't play doubles accg to this? what about mixed doubles?" a fan wondered.
