"Someone come get their dog" - Bianca Andreescu overjoyed to be joined by her dog Coco during post-win interview at Miami Open

Bianca Andreescu continued her successful run at the 2023 Miami Open with a straight-sets victory over Sofia Kenin in the third round on Sunday (March 26). The Canadian brought her dog Coco over to join her during the post-match interview to celebrate her victory.

Following challenging three-set wins over Emma Raducanu and Maria Sakkari, Andreescu took on Kenin for a place in the fourth round in Miami. She was clinical in her approach, converting each of her three break points, which, coupled with her seven aces, led her to a win in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.

Speaking after the match, the former World No. 4 was glad to have gotten past the challenge posed by Kenin.

"I definitely enjoy the challenge. These victories are definitely very sweet. I've had many tough matches against Sofia so it feels really good to get through in two," she said in conversation with Tennis Channel's Prakash Amritraj.

The interview received a welcome interruption from Andreescu's dog Coco. The Canadian disclosed that Coco was enjoying her time in Miami.

"She definitely loves it. I definitely feel good vibes here in Miami and she's definitely liking it. I mean, back home in Canada she can't go on as many walks as she can here in beautiful weather so she's definitely happy," Andreescu said.

Amritraj was ecstatic to be joined by Coco and deemed it to be the "best moment" of the day.

"Look at this smile. This is the best moment of the day so far," Amritraj commented.

Andreescu later reacted to clips of Coco dropping in on her interview on social media.

"Someone come get their dog," she posted.

She also joked that Amritraj only wanted her as an interviewee to get a chance to meet Coco.

"I know @prakashamritraj just wanted me to come so he can see Coco," Andreescu joked.
