Taylor Fritz & girlfriend Morgan Riddle become victims of attempted break-in at London stay; American grabs tennis racket to use as 'weapon'
Taylor Fritz and his girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, faced an attempted break-in at their London Airbnb. After multiple unsettling experiences with Airbnb stays, Riddle advised travelers—especially those alone or in groups of women—to choose hotels for safety reasons.
Riddle took to her Instagram Story on November 2, 2024, to share a frightening experience at a London Airbnb, where she was staying with her boyfriend.
Alongside a video of the street outside, Riddle explained that around 4 a.m., the couple woke up to the sound of someone attempting to enter the code and break into the front door.
In a follow-up video, she showed the door’s locks and described how, when she told Fritz to secure the secondary lock, they realized it had been removed.
In a humorous twist, Riddle shared in her next Story that, out of "all potential weapons in the house," Fritz grabbed a tennis racket to protect them.
Expressing her frustration with Airbnb, Riddle urged travelers to avoid it, calling it “unsafe.” She added:
"They are intentionally targeted in many cities. Houses are nice for longer stays, but please just stay in a hotel, especially if you are traveling alone or only with girls. I swore I’d never stay in one again after my past experiences and clearly didn’t learn my lesson," Riddle wrote.
Later, she shared a lighthearted moment, revealing that after they called 999, Fritz got distracted and used the racket to "kill" a mosquito.
“Dare the robbers to TRY and square up w him,” she joked.
