Taylor Fritz was delighted upon securing his fifth title on the ATP Tour at the Delray Beach Open on Sunday.

Fritz faced off against Miomir Kecmanovic in the final at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. The American thoroughly dominated the opening set as he did not drop a single game. However, his opponent showed signs of a comeback as the second set went Kecmanovic's way.

The World No. 7 recovered control of the match as he led 3-1 in the final set with a break. He eventually wrapped up the match in just under two hours and the score read 6-0, 5-7, 6-2.

Fritz secured his first-ever title on tour at Eastbourne International back in 2019. After trophyless seasons in 2020 and 2021, the 25-year-old earned three titles to his name last year. It began with the ATP Masters 1000 event in Indian Wells. He then won the title at Eastbourne for the second time in his career and later the Japan Open in October.

On his journey to the final at the Delray Beach Open, Fritz did not drop a single set. He registered comprehensive wins against Emilio Gomez, Adrian Mannarino, and Mackenzie McDonald before facing Kecmanovic in the summit clash.
